Folk block printed t-shirt spring 2012

The fabric for this is a slub cotton which gives the base cloth a natural feel. The natural undyed colour also helps to achieve this. It gives another texture of jersey on the rail which is important.

The print artwork has been created by Folk, so that we get the hand painted feel in the print.
All the artwork is painted on acetates and exposed directly on to the screens which means we avoids any 'digital' looking artwork.

The print is bold in multi colour but has the folk element of fun, if its too much fun there is the grey's option which though more subtle also makes a statement.

The prints in the collection are an important part, we want to continue to make individual garments in a market and feel this is a strong voice to do that with.

t-shirt on the left is mentioned in article about folk shop in shop in Kyoto.
